The Lubbock's Fairy Wrasse, scientifically known as Cirrhilabrus lubbocki, is a multicolored fish species. The males have striking yellow and red bodies adorned with blue, brown, and white patterns, while the females typically have more subdued markings. During courtship, the males will display even more vivid colors. It is recommended to house this fish in a larger aquarium of at least 50 gallons, with options for either a fish-only or reef setup, and a shaded area. Known for their peaceful nature, the Lubbock's Fairy Wrasse is compatible with other fish and invertebrates in a reef aquarium. However, it is important to note that they are prone to jumping, so a secure and tightly-fitted canopy is necessary. For optimal health, their diet should consist of vitamin-enriched frozen mysis shrimp and brine shrimp, as well as other protein-rich foods like marine flakes and pellets.
