The Bristletooth Tomini Tang, also called the Tomini Surgeonfish, features a mixture of tan, yellow, blue, and white. As it matures, the body becomes more uniform in color and the tail turns blue, while the dorsal and anal fins take on a bright golden-yellow hue. Small golden flecks can be found above the eyes, along with a distinctive golden half circle below.
For optimal swimming space, a 70 gallon or larger tank is recommended. While aggressive towards other Tangs, it coexists peacefully with other fish. To maintain good health, it's important to provide marine-based seaweed and algae in addition to meaty foods. Dried seaweed attached to a rock or a veggie clip is recommended, and feeding at least 3 times a week is advised.
