Sea Hare boasts a distinct appearance with its speckled and patterned body, rhinophores, and oral tentacles, reminiscent of a rabbit. It may release a cloud of purple dye if provoked, so a strong filter system is recommended for home aquariums. In the wild, it's commonly found in seagrasses, coral rubble, and shaded areas. To prevent it from becoming startled in the aquarium, provide covering from the light and ensure it has enough space. The Sea Hare needs live rock and sandy areas to graze on algae and Caulerpa, as well as supplemented diet of parboiled lettuce and dried kelp if regular feedings of Caulerpa aren't feasible. Note: medications with high copper content aren't usually suitable, so monitor water quality too.
